Before I post, I have significant experience with these and have refaced many. This is a very good sample out of the box. The facing and rails were well finished, the tip was nice except for a very tiny flaw in the joining of the two halves making a miniscule, barely perceivable slit directly in the center of the tip rail halfway through. I would consider this absolutely insignificant but none the less was there. The table was flat and had good suction when tested with a moistened reed. The mouthpiece played well on a Selmer saxophone and played evenly throughout the whole horn range. Despite the small imperfection on the tip it is a very good sample. Dave
