The only live cd the foo fighters put out...has songs here nowhere else...acoustic sets which is unusual out of a hard rock band

Actually, I was hoping this would have the music with all the guitars and such like on the radio. More like a simplified version of those songs instead. I guess I should have done my homework. Wasn't impressed with it. The CD does work well and the box is decent. Will most likely donate it.

I reason I like this cd is because it shows the Foo Fighters versatility. It's easy for a band to get sucked into the same routine and play the same music but this doesn't seem to be the case for the Foo. This cd has a lot of classic songs from previous Foo Fighters cd's but this time they are all acoustic! We also have the return of Pat Smear on this cd (The Foo's previous guitarist) as well as a few other members who play on the Skin and Bones tour and the cd. If you are a fan of acoustic music then I would buy this cd, but if you crave distortion then it may not be for you but there is plenty of other Foo fighter cd's to satisfy your craving. This cd also grows on you, at least it did on me. I thought it was ok at first but after listening to it more and more I learned to love it.
Skin and Bones is a live acoustic album by Foo Fighters The 15-track set was recorded on August 29, 30 and 31, 2006 at the Pantages Theater in Los Angeles, CA. I've never really been a fan of live CDs. But this album is awesome. Plus its cool to hear some of the song on Acoustic guitar instead of electric. 1. Razor" 6:48 2. Over and Out 5:56 3. I like this CD alot. Hearing all my favorite songs stripped down is like hearing them for the first time. Close your eyes and crank it up and it's like being there! I saw Foo Fighters open for Bob Dylan with the acoustic set and they stole the show! The CD isn't as good as that show was (Dave doesn't interact with the audience as much as he did at the concert I was at - he's a great entertainer even when he's not performing), but it's still a great disk. By comparison the Sevendust Double-Wide Acoustic disk is a better Album that truely rocks tho obviously not quite the same type of music.
