Harry Connick, Jr. delivers a powerhouse collection of songs on this soundtrack. He has such a wonderful way of making familiar songs seem new and new songs seem familiar. He has such an inviting way of performing, you cannot help but be drawn to him and his style. No matter what type of song he is performing, he delivers with a brilliance that will leave you wanting to bask even longer in his glow. I loved this movie but this CD could stand on its own without it.
I was hoping for the music in the movie, such as Louis Armstrong, Ella Fiitzgerald. Would like to have heard, "It had to be You", Where or When", "Lets call the Whole Thing Off" Etc.

This is a nice CD, but it is not the Original Soundtrack. It does not contain the original songs of anyone but Harry Conik Jr. I wanted the CD after recently watching the movie again, and I thought that I would be getting the same kind of CD that is available for the "Sleepless in Seattle" movie -- a variety of artists and all the same music that was in the movie, instead the CD is as I described above. It seems that there is not an Original Soundtrack available. Thus, I was disappointed with this purchase.
I really enjoyed this CD. It is in good shape so I will enjoy it for sometime to come. I bought it because Harry Connick Jr is singing. I bought a Frank Sinatra and was disappointed. That guy really couldn't sing that well. He was off key a lot. Harry Connick Jr. is better than Frank was any day.
All of the songs are as sang in the movie, not a different mixing or style of the song. Very relaxing and soothing music for those morons on the expressway that make you want to run them off the side of the road... this helps me stay calm enough to not be put in jail, haha. And I'm not even a fan of this style, I got the CD for my wife.
