I've been an engineer for many years. Now my son is getting into it and as I have told him, besides actual hands on experience, the best way to learn is to get as many books about sound engineering as he can and read them. Every one has different ways of doing things and no one person is right or wrong all the time so you can use different ideas from different people and that will help you develope your own ways of doing things. This book is pretty good because you get alot of different info from different people all in one book. I have only skimmed it so I don't know how reliable the info inside is but what I have seen so far looks pretty good.
