I enjoy the whole Buffy the Vampire Slayer series. Season four still has the clever one-liners and the humor of the entirely make-believe world of vampires, demons, and other worldly dimensions. The only complaint I have ever had about this season is that Willow becomes a lesbian and continues to be for the rest of the series. I could understand the circumstances in which Willow starts this lesbian realtionship but I have never thought that it ever made any sense to have her continue on as a lesbian. I don't think Willow had tendencies in the lesbian direction and that she stays a lesbian just seems out of place and looks like it was just there to make some political statement. Kind of awkward. Alyson Hannigan who plays Willow does an excellent job with the role change.
Sunnydale, is a home, from the real Hellmouth. I lov this season, tho there is the Initiative, & Trilley, & Prof. Walsh, & The roommate made in he** Kathy, who really wants to just share, with Buffy. Okay, not my fav seas. for the Scoobs. But then there's Spike's return, who adds fun, & mischief to the mix. & Harmony & Xan's silly fight. A glimpse at Spuffy, when Willòw casts a lil spell, that goes wrong. The Gentleman, come to Sunnydale, needing peace 💔love, & understanding. 💔🌄❤️🧟♂️

Season Four has some great highlights like the return of Spike and Willow and Tara falling in love. The only thing I didn't like this season was the whole government Initiative plot line. However the character of Riley played by Marc Blucas ended up being a good addition. One character I missed seeing was Buffy's mom Joyce but then again that was most likely just a precursor of what was to come in Season 5. Other than that the characters kept growing in the most unexpected directions. The dialogue was clever as always.
Season 4 of Buffy begins with Buffy and the Scoobies starting college. Season 4 is different from the previous seasons in that it has more of a full-season arc, involving the Initiative. A lot happens in this season, and one of my favorite episodes is Wild at Heart. It is SO painful to watch, but it's so incredibly well-acted, especially by Alyson Hannigan, who just breaks your heart. Definitely one of the best episodes. Another great episode is Hush, where about half of the episode has no dialogue due to demons who steal the voices of everyone in Sunnydale. It's one of the more popular Buffy episodes, and was nominated for an Emmy. The other episodes are good too, and even though the Initiative angle starts to lose its appeal towards the end, it's still a great season where the characters grow and lot and there are some great storylines.Read full review
I am a huge fan of BtVS and have always wanted to get the entire series on DVD, so I turned to eBay to get the best deals. As Buffy is going to college, we see the introduction of new characters, Riley and Tara; the addition of past characters to the lineup, Anya and Spike; and the ominous portrayal of what the government would do if they found out demons and vampires existed, the Initiative. There are of course a couple of filler episodes like "Beer Bad", but all-in-all this is a great addition for any BtVS or Angel fan! I can't wait to purchase the remaining seasons!
