Dr. Fagan writes with humor, without a lot of jargon, although he clearly defines the terms and illustrates their meanings. He covers both hemispheres, not just Europe or America, and not just the historic archaeologists, either. This is the second book on Archaeology that I've read. One was for a college course, and this one. I'd had a text book by Dr. Fagan in another class, this one North American Anthropology and found it extremely helpful. This book, Archaeology, was chosen because of the readability of the other book.

The reason that I decided to buy the book was that I needed it, and it was cheaper than it was to purchase it in our school book store. I didn't expect to get a different book than what I order, although I recieved the wrong book all together. Although I had no idea on how to go about trying to return it and getting the right book. I was lucky to find the book I needed in are school book exchange or else I would have been in great trouble in the class that I'm attending at this time.
Great Prices! I had to get this book for Anthropology 101. I buy all of my textbooks on Half.com rather than spend way too much money at the school bookstore. I love all of my anthropology books and keep every single one of them. This is a basic building block (no pun intended) for any anthropology student.
The book is very informative. I am learning alot about techniques and procedures regarding archaeology.
