Either I got my hopes too high or I am not a fan of the fake documentary genre but this movie was bad. It was poorly written, acted without talent and just plain boring. They should give an award to whoever made the trailer. Sure sucked me in!

THE DEVIL INSIDE is more watchable than many so-called found footage films. The camera work is not shaky and the characters are well-developed. The film starts with a murder and moves quickly to scenes of a violent mental patient and exorcisms. Of course it ends abruptly just as things are getting interesting, but that's the nature of found-footage films, which by definition MUST all end the same way. Two minor criticisms: 1. The cover art, which is compelling and creepy, has nothing to do with the story; it's simply a background character who is seen once in a brief shot. 2. The two exorcists are supposed to be experienced, so why are the possessed people ALWAYS able to break their restraints and attack the priests? You'd think, after a couple times, the priests would wise up and use stronger restraints.Read full review
This was a decent movie but some of the special effects were almost ridiculous. It would have been a good movie even without all the excessive contorting! I don't feel badly about what I payed for this movie because I LOVE horror films. I recommend it to anyone who likes that same genre because this one is a little different than most I've seen. Overall, I liked this movie...not loved, but liked.:)
Liked the movie worked great
