I thought the book was excellent in everything it covered. However, I was a little disappointed that he didn't go into more detail concerning what Revelation and other apocalyptic literature contained in Scripture does say about the second coming and how the actual end of time will come about. He made many excellent and thorough points about the aspects of apocalyptic literature that definitely applied to 70 AD. I just wish he had addressed the future as well.
Hanegraaff dismantles Hal Lindsey. Lindsey's views have forced him to reach for wild speculation. Hanegraaff demonstrates Lindsey's folly. Dispensationalists must force the grid of their doctrine on scripture where it simply does not fit. Sometimes when forcing isn't enough they seek to change the meaning of plainly written words. Those entrenched in the dispensationalist error will find this book repulsive due to the cognitive dissonance they suffer from. Others should benefit by a greater understanding of the partial preterist viewpoint.

Hank weighs in on the topic of the Apocalypse with a clear and rational tone. I found his "Ockham's razor" approach concerning the topic of the end of days very refreshing. This philosophy is evident in many of Hanegraaff's writings. After reading this book I am able to read the other books of the Bible with a new, simplified vision. This method has helped me to step back and enjoy the view of the entire forest, and to stop getting hung-up on this or that tree! If you want to stop fretting and running around looking for "signs", this is the book for you. Read it, relax and revel in your relationship with Christ for He is coming again to reign forever and ever. Amen!
The Left Behind series is fiction and here’s a good book that illustrates a perfect example of scripture twisting to get a new wind of doctrine

Hank Hanegraaff does a good job presenting a basic introduction to a partial preterist view of eschatology. This book is not very technical so it is a good start if you want to investigate a view that is much older than the current prevailing view of dispensationalism. Regardless of what you think about this position, it does ask some important questions if you are more committed to the pursuit of truth than to a particular end-times system.
