I'll start with a con. The handle seems flimsy, but I believe I might be able to strenghen it. Other than that, I like the way one should not be able to reach around to clear the blade area should anything get caught, like a friend of mine tried and paid with bad cuts to her hands. The edger does a great job, just don't put it on the deepest setting, because it doesn't need to be to do a good job. I like it and it does a good job. I wish I had bought it a long time ago.

While the edger did a good job of actually edging along sidewalks and curbs, I have several complaints. First, the extension cord vibrates out of the plug built onto the handle. It is made so that it angles downward making it so the cord easily comes unplugged while edging. Secondly, the blades keep working loose especially when going around curves in curbing. I torqued them to 150 inch pounds, which is 10 more than called for and it still came loose. And third, the knobs to secure the handle sections together are too soft and began to crush before the tubing was tightened enough. The tube was crushed slightly as well and yet there is still noticeable movement in the handle assembly when operating the unit. And finally, the outer edge of the two blades I tried both rounded over at the toothed edge.Read full review

Wish my old edger was alive. Can’t buy a craftsman blade! No support. No parts! Craftsman appears dead! Sorry I bought it.

Works well. Easy to use. Time will tell about it's durability. However, being it carries the Craftsman name I suspect it will last for quite a while.
