Installed it in a 2011 JK Jeep Wrangler
My Wrangler came with a dummy lighter socket on the passenger side. I had to cut two plastic spacers so it would fit the hole without falling through. I used two pill bottle caps to make the spacers and painted them black. It worked out great.

Real 4 Ampere device with small voltmeter problem
It has protection Shottky diode in the input, so it is protected from wrong polarity. There is a problem: the voltmeter gets the voltage after this diode. So, voltage that we see is lower that real voltage on the input. Differense is between 0.2..0.4 Volts. It depends from output current. It is not convenient.
