Works very well for a compact tripod. It fits in my luggage, so air travel was easy. It provided a stable platform in light winds and I took shake-free images. I got excellent service from the seller. Recommended as a travel tripod.

Buyer beware, if you want factory quality tripod look elsewhere. Because these tripods are factory rejects is refurbished you might call it. They have not been through QC *quality control by manufacturer. You need to know how mechanical parts work if there is malfunction to the fasteners. Keep in mind, these are made in China, not Italy. If you know how to maintain the working parts if the tripod, it will work great for you. But if you looking for simple maintenance free tripod I would not recommend. Like it says professional, meaning know how to use it correctly without having it fall apart as soon as you receive it. Good Luck...

The item serves the stated purpose, but fit and finish are about a 6/10. The friction stops are so - so and the joints appear to be cast pot metal. I had difficulty attaching the one leg that doesn't come attached in shipment...the washers just are not at all easy to install. The leg tips (rubber/spike) could use a lot more adjustment. The thing barely fits into the carrying bag (they really cut that material to within 1 MM!! Over all, for an occasional use, it will do...not a Manfrato, but for 25 bucks....it is OK...I rate it a 60%.

I answered yes to some of the questions with a caveat. It's a great tripod for the money, but it doesn't exactly scream professional! It's a bit flimsy when putting it together, but when used it works fine. Not crazy about the camera mount/plate mechanism......it seems to hold solid, but it doesn't feel trustworthy when locking it. I wouldn't use it for heavier DSLR's, but it's way better than most other tripods in this price range.

Very solid but heavy. For the price it's great for the beginner who doesn't want to pay $500 for a tripod. It holds my Nikon D7000 with a 70-200mm 2.8 lens no problem. The quick release isn't. It's a real pain in the butt and besides the weight, is the only problem.
