Product Information

Harry Segal, the writer of HERE COMES MR. JORDAN, sends a soul in the other direction in ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER. Gangster Eddie Kagel (Paul Muni) is killed by a buddy and lands in hell. After an unsuccessful attempt to break out of hell, Nick, the Devil, (Claude Rains) strikes a deal with Eddie. Nick will allow Eddie back to Earth if Eddie will destroy the reputation of upstanding judge Frederick Parker. Eddie agrees to the deal and Nick zaps his soul into Frederick's body. Eddie/Frederick's aim is to off his turncoat buddy as soon as possible, but Nick isn't interested in any funny business. As Eddie and Nick attempt to ruin Frederick, Parker's fiancée (Anne Baxter) is rearing up to wed Eddie/Frederick, and her affections cause Eddy to reflect upon his devilish mission. ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER, director Archie Mayo's final film, which was released in 1946, has retained its popularity over the years.

The dvd was new and never opened. The disc probably came loose during shipping , which would cause the scratches. Something I cannot control. This dvd is all region,which is not the best quality. Region1 is the best. They are not available outside the U.S.

    Movie You Want To See

    This movie was originally released in the 1940's and has stayed popular ever since. It has a great plot, an awesome script, and some of the funniest things you've ever heard. It was bold for it's time since it featured black comedy which was practically revolutionary. I highly reccomend getting this to either watch or collect. You definitly need to buy this no matter what the case. Thanks For Reading, And I Hope I Helped, Justin

    Black and white is cleaner

    Black and white movies will never grow old. The language is cleaner and fun. Movies has more substance and of no offense.

    Is a great movie where good over comes evil. Claude Raines and Paul Muni do a suburb job. In my opinion it's a classic and anyone who claims to be a film buff should have it in their collection.
