We hunt Whitetail deer and face it they always come out when light conditions are poor. The Conquest scope gives you excellent eye relief as well brightness when it counts. Shooting a Magnum Caliber and having the extra eye relief is a must. As most will agree for the money you can't find a better value in high quality optics.
Best scope for the money for hunting deer up to 200 yards. It beat hands down a Nikon that was more expensive. The light gathering capability is tops. I could see into the woods at 100 yards went the Nikon got grainy and dark. 4th deer rifle scope and for the money nothing i have seen beats it. to bad they discontinued the scope. That was why I bought this one.
This is one hell of a scope! Optics are crystal clear, the retical is clean and sharp. I bought the Rapid-Z model and the quick reference points when awsome. I had my Rem 700 243 bore sighted and asked the smith to "get as close to 200 yds as possible". I used the Zeiss balistics calculator for the Rem 100gr 243 which matched my scope settings to the ammo; first 3 shots at 50 yds +2.8". 100 yds + 1.6" 200 yds 0, 0, 0. :-) TACK DRIVER! I LOVE THIS SCOPE!
This is my second Conquest 3-9x50. I was so pleased with the one I put on my 7 mag last year that I bought this one for my 257 Roberts. The scopes I replaced were Nikon Pro Staffs and the clarity was comparable during mid day with good lighting, but in low light conditions, the Zeiss was remarkably better. When my sons compared the two at dusk they were also amazed at the light gathering ability of this scope.
Great from dusk till dawn, the best for low light conditions, in the top five lenses next to Schmidt Bender ,Sworovski, Hendsolt, Hales No contest!!!!
