I read this book series when I was younger and really enjoyed it but I had never read this one. I am a big fan of the TV show Reign which is historcial fiction drama about Queen Mary. The show has made me more curious about her life so I decided to get this book and I'm glad I did! I enjoy the journal entry style of this series and love that the back of the book has historical photos and facts about Mary and those in her life. Great read!

These books are incredibly interesting, particularly for young teenage readers. I remembered reading them in my childhood as enjoyed how they made history accessible; partly through the simpler language used, but also by creating a fictional story around historical facts written in an interesting diary format. A great read for those who enjoy teenage historical fiction.
