I bought this product because I wanted to find more recipes for vegetable entrees. I am not vegetarian but several nights/week don't eat meat. Because the author is editor for Cooks Illustrated, and has made wonderful suggestions on grilling vegetable on the radio, I sought this book. The recipes are very tasty, and not difficult to put together nor time intensive. The book is well organized and laid out, recipes easy to find. It is organized by season, which I find helpful. And, it is enjoyable to research, should I want to find recipes using a specific vegetable. I do wish each recipe had nutrition information, including amount of fat and calories. But the book is very good despite this. I have used it several times in the last 2 months. There are 2 books I use more often, but I believe this is more habit. That I use it as much as I do is notable, for I have over 20 twenty cookbooks that I use routinely. Compared to other similar books, it rates highly for taste and simplicity.Read full review
although i haven't used this book extensively yet, i really love how it is organized by season (the whole reason i bought it) and how simple many of the recipes are. everything i've tried has been delicious so far. there is really something to be said about cookbooks that provide minimalist, simple recipes that turn out to taste like meals from great restaurants.
Very nice cookbook, has very helpful hints about most recipes and/or ingredients. Recipes are applicable for everyday cooking.
I bought this for my Sister In Law who is a Vegetarian. When she opened it she was so excited, she said it is one of the best books out there for Vegetarian cooking.
