Using these on my 26"+ bike and they are awesome. Absorb so much vibration and youd think they would decrease your feel and control. But they dont. They just work as advertised. If you are a control freak get the thinner ones. But for rigid and xc bikes these are amazing. They will be extremely fragile in a crash so keep that in mind. Lightweight and easy to install with a little hairspray. Buy these if you get arm pump or are like me, and have wrist issues. These just work. They arent flashy and they arent for everybody. I'll run these on every xc bike I own if they hold up to some abuse. Buy them your hands will thank you. Wait ew.

the esi extra chunky grips are not pretty or bling. however, they are super comfortable and decently light. half of the weight of the Oury lockons I was using. install simply with isopropyl alcohol and let em dry a bit and they will never ever move. excellent value as well.

I think that these ESI extra chunky are the best grips that I have ever used. They need to be installed with alcohol, but once they are on you will never have them slide or twist. They never become sticky or tacky from being left in the sun. The silicone material feels nice in your hand giving you positive control, but isolating your hands, wrist, and arms from high frequency vibrations caused by rough road or trail surfaces. The only drawback is that they can be torn or damaged fairly easily, so if you crash a lot or just throw your bike around like it is a piece of garbage, these grips will not stand up to that type of abuse.

the installation its a little of a hassle, but the quality is awesome! i was a fan of ERGON for years but i will never buy other grips again. the size is great for my large hands (i got the 34mm but for smaller hands there are a 32 version) the grips dont move or rotate during hard descends (that was my worry initially since there is no glue or securing screws) and are cheap enough to be replaced each year (i only had them for couple of weeks so far) so i cant talk about durability. but ERGONS were 35-45 dls a pair so i dont mind if i have to replace these every year cons: if i had to point something bad, the bar plugs seem kind of cheap, mine at least dont seat completely against the bar, you have to trim manually a little to make it fit Also, they are delicate, wile i placed my bike in the truck and loaded an other bike, some how the other bike scratched a little of the grips and tear off a little which tells me that they are easi to get damaged... just be careful and you should ne fine!Read full review
