    ASA 5505 is a good product

    It's not easy to configure. You have to know a lot or do some homework to get the device set up properly. You can set it to a default factory setting that allows you to dial in with a web browser and a specific version of Java to use ASDM - Adaptive Security Device Manager that provides a nice, easy to use GUI for configuring it. Otherwise, you have to use the command line which isn't very polished or user friendly. It is rated by some as an enterprise-ready device for a home office or small business supporting VPN connections. I'm using it as a study platform to get better at firewalling, Cisco switching and routing so it's good for study or actual use in your home or business network.
