I've noticed more ant activity outside my house (front yard and garage areas near my trash cans) over the past year or so. I had seen some reviews on this stuff last year and decided to give it a try. I used a 3-liter Ocean Spray juice jug with a nickel-sized square hole cut in the screw-on lid to dispense the granules which worked out great; just shake the jug left and right and the stuff comes out in a manner where you can distribute the granules over a fairly large area. I was able to cover the perimeter of my house using half of the bag and used the rest on the xeriscape in my yard. a 3LB bag of this stuff fits nicely in the juice jug. Within 15 minutes of putting the granules down, I saw dozens of pill bugs crawling up my wall in the back yard running from the stuff. Over the following 6 days, I had a bunch of dead roaches showing up along my front walkway and yard area. I haven't seen any ant movement either, but I have seen more ants moving inside the house (see my review for Terro Liquid Ant Bait). Chances are the granules forced them inside. Terro is a terriffic product for killing ants. Where I live we have Carpenter Ants. They are wood eaters. One year I had to replace 1 foot on each side of one of the corners of my house. That's when I started using Terro. It's referred to as a Bait. The ants take it back to the nest where it kills the entire colony. The shaker bag makes it very easy to spread it around the perimiter of my house.
