I mean, it’s a solid motherboard that performs well. Really the only good thing I can say about it. It has a weird build factor, the backplate is made of a 2 cent alloy that was slightly bent on arrival, and it only has one usb 2.0 header. If this is a motherboard that’s meant to be used in new systems, no case is found with only one usb port and brand new, still being manufactured. Also, this is a horrible value. Everything I just mentioned added up with no accessories other than the weak iO shield? Not worth $30. You could get a motherboard with a sata cable, better iO shield and everything you’d want to be expecting for a lot cheaper. Maybe even brand new. Don’t buy unless you only have one USB 2.0 port on the case and have a SATA cable at hand. Otherwise, it’s an okay motherboard. Nothing special at all.Read full review

PC Technician and Network Specialist. NOTES: only 2 usb available in back; pci-e slot (commonly, "graphics adapter") x8 generation 2.0 requires your card slot to be half as long than most, but still widely available (suggested: 2gb EVGA GT 730 low profile (that is important- don't use a double high card so you can add in other necessary cards and double check slot size please); in addition 2 more pci-e slots (it needs audio (suggest soundblaster recon3d) and I suggest a usb 3.0 card); will take a 24-pin plus 4-pin 12v cpu power supply even though it has an 8 pin power input at least 400W; also note use a quad core xeon cpu with HT (for a total of 8 processors-such as x3440) and at least 8gb ram (xeon uses cheaper ECC memory); SATA hard drive and DVD required, so common now; use usb wifi adapter if desired (suggest dlink dwa-162); always use a I/O shield and practice cable management. EXCELLENT CHEAP system!!! Will run Windows 10 no problem. I make these all the time for customers. Board, cpu, heatsink, ram, I/O shield that I indicate should be under a hundred dollars as of 2017.Read full review

Currently using thing in a PFsense rig, Media Server, and Storage Server. They all run nice and cool, and it is a server board that can max out at 32GB of memory with a hyper threaded xeon chip, (i use the X3440)

Very difficult to find reasonably priced RAM for this board these days. You can find the supported RAM configurations in the product manual under 'Memory Support'.
