The Web Cam works excellent with Windows 8. Auto focus is a great feature, you do not have to adjust anything by hand and it has a vast amount of features that are software driven. It's small and light weight and the built in stand actually works like it is supposed to.
I had resisted adding a webcam to my Skype. I must admit purchasing the Cam Optia AF Web Cam because of the price. It was so easy to install, the resolution is superb and now the entire Skype experience is splendid. what fun to chat with a live person and know that they are having the same experience. In retrospect, the Optia is worth at least 10 times what I paid for it and would definitely encourage anyone to make the investment.
The camera is great, I bought it to use with Skype so I could talked to my siblings in England, They tell me the quality if the picture they receive is good. Actually, when I made contact with one brother in the North East of England I found he has the same camera. I needed something small enough to place on the top of my monitor, which is a flat panel, my previous webcam stood by the side of my monitor and, therefore, did not give a full,face picture. As yet there is nothing about this product that I do not like. Overall rating: Excellent
Getting a $90.00 Camera for 10 bucks was great but not as Great as the Quality and ease of operation this Camera gives. No delay or vibration in the pix and the ability to adjust it can even enhance the experience. It's made Skype fun and has many other capabilities I've yet to explore!!! This was a Real Steal!!!
I really enjoy the web Cam and it works great and very easy to use good and clear and easy to focus.The price is another great thing about the Web Cam.
