Filters are an essential accessory when you purchase any lens and they are much more essential when you purchase expensive lens. I knew if Kenko filters prior to purchasing this one but, the Zeta anti-reflective coating on this filter is worth the additional expense. I have attached this beast to the front element of my Tokina AT-X Pro 50-135mm AF Nikon and it makes a world of difference. The filter significantly cuts the reflection of water, glass and other reflective surfaces making it easier to shoot in close proximity of these elements. I am going to purchase it in a 77mm size for my Nikon 80-200mm f/2.8 and my Nikon 17-55mm f/28.8 lens as well. I have normally shot these scenes with either s circular polarizer or a Neutral Density filter but with this one attached, there is no need to carry the additional filters or to fumble around in my bag looking for them. It is permanently attached and after taking a white balance reading, I just go to town shooting and getting the look that I am after. Take care and make sure that you wet the surface of the filter prior to cleaning and I am sure that it will out live your lens. Well worth the expense and having on the front of an expensive lens.Read full review
