Smart battery charger
A step up improvement to the cheap chargers that sometimes come with Chinese made batteries. The cheap chargers tend to overcharge and you have no idea when to stop or how much life is left in the battery. This nitecore is OK but not perfect. It has LED gauges that I'm still trying to interpret but tells me the life and the charge of the battery. It gets pretty hot as the charge current is suppose to be double of the previous models. This one is great for four AA, AAA and the new 18650 batteries that I love. Nitecore i4 2018 charger
This newest edition does charge faster, however, I liked being able to monitor the time on the charger and the progress in actual numbers. This is just three lights. The old display was way better.. Also you will notice that it takes a bit of effort to get the battery to not slip off the little charge points , again ,the old one was better, you really could not put them in wrong, now you have to balance four batteries on these little tabs in four slots . Aside from faster charging, the older ones are better. I have had mine many years without any trouble Always get the four banger even if you think you don't need it. Best Universal battery charger out there.
I forgot to add 5 stars on my previous feedback. it was worth every penny. it safely and quickly charged my batteries, it did not get hot like another charger of a different brand did. Also it said it would arrived on Sunday 12/23/18 to my house, i was amazed when i got the notification on my phone that it was inside my mailbox. I couldn't not believe it. So i went to check and wow it was there. Anyway i do recommend it. I use it to charge my Arlo Eagletac RCR123A rechargeable batteries. Great Nitecore charger
This NITECORE New i4 2018 smart battery charger WORKS GREAT. I ordered this charger to use for salvaging some 18650's from a damaged laptop power pack. This charger enabled me to salvage all 9 batteries for re-use elsewhere. The Nitecore NEW i4 is easy to use and 'intelligently' built. I have used this charger several times now and it works great.

I've had time to check out my new battery charger. All i can say is, it works great. It automatically knows what battery is charging and the correct charge for each one. You can change it manually but why would you. This intelligent charger is all you need to keep your rechargeable batteries running at full capacity.
