This ESP8266 board is just wow! It is very easy to program, it can be used to do almost anything, easy to setup and the WiFi range is excellent. This is one of my favorite products, and I never regretted buying it for even a second. It doesn't come with a USB cable, but it includes a Micro USB port which is very common, and for the price of the item it can't really be expected. It can operate from 5V power source, but also from 3.3V power source, which makes it a product that can be used in about all small electronics projects, that usually have either one of these voltages available. The processor is very powerful and is able to execute code pretty fast. In short: Wonderful product, great quality and excellent price!

learning curve was a little steep, but not too hard, you have to do a little research to find the correct files to download, "C" takes a little getting used to but there are hundreds of examples to learn from. i had it blinking away like crazy in less than 2 days now it entertains me 24-7. i have lots of plans for my next units. i love these units esp. the combo of hardware on them and the price is fantastic.

The ESP8266 is an all around great product. You can create a variety of projects with it whether you are a beginner or advanced user. It is easy to use and there is plenty of documentation/forums/support online. I personally like using this board with MicroPython, and doing so allows me to use the boards functionality in many different ways even as a maker who is not that experienced with boards like this. I would definitely recommend this board to anyone who is considering getting it because there is just so much you can do with it, and even if you don't know what you're doing your just a google search away from learning how.

This is an awesome chipset with WiFi built in; with a size of 1" x 2", you can fit this baby anywhere! Great value and they're fairly robust; I bought 6 more to replace two that I thought were dead, but after a hard reset, they both work. Amica branded Node MCU chips rock!
