I'm restoring a 1974 teac a2340 and there are two transistors on the bias oscillator and using a transistor equivalent book guide I was able to find the tip41 was the equivalent of the trance Trey needed which is basically an npn medium power transistor that runs the bias oscillating circuit inside of a reel-to-reel tape machine. It was very important that the parameters were the same because with a reel-to-reel tape machine the parameters need to be very precise otherwise it would conduct too much maybe or wouldn't saturate at the right level or would perhaps cut off too early so these ones were great

THIS TRANSISTOR, AS PER I KNOW PER EXPERIENCE, IS THE BEST FOR SMALL AMPLIFIERS. I HAVE A LOT OF PROJECTS DONE.

Only need 2 but for the prices was worth getting 10.
