This is an amazing gps for the price that its going for. The 4 inch wide screen and text to speech features alone make it worth the purchase. This model seems more responsive than the nuvi 200 that I had before. I was impressed that this also has bluetooth and fm transmitter...the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because the bluetooth compatibility is a bit picky. I've tried to pair it with 2 newer phones, one lg and other samsung with no luck...but when I tried my older samsung (t809) it was able to pair with the device just easily. I successfully upgraded the bluetooth firmware, but that didn't seem to increase its compatibility. Not sure why it seems to like older phones better...garmin probably just needs to update their firmware, hopefully that happens soon. All in all though this is an aamazing product and made a great christmas gift.Read full review
Overall I'd give this GPS a 9.9 out of 10. Its EXTREMELY easy to use and very intuitive, in fact I never read the instructions and learned every in and out of it in only a day of use. Its been highly accurate everywhere I've gone, and I appreciate features such as current MPH and direction which are listed on a seperate screen or at the bottom if your not currently being guided to a destination. The MP3 feature is nice, although if transferring songs from iTunes you'll have to convert them from MP4 to MP3 but not all that time consuming. Screen and audio clarity are fantastic and probably my favorite feature is that you can simply type in a store or destination under the "Where To" menu and it brings up the desired locations in order of distance, current direction N,S,E,or W from where you're driving and a phone number, those features combined have saved me loads of time and GAS especially by simply contacting whoever I need and giving me the quickest route all on the fly. The only thing I noticed is that when it abreviates "County" in a long series of turns at the top banner to Co. it will pronouce it as "Company" which is just a little amusing. & one business I traveled to was actually .5 miles further down the road than Garmin said but I think it may have moved since the maps were published in 2007. But of course thats why they offer updates! Overall a very sound purchase and well worth the extra $$$ to avoid the cheap models that are less accurate and more bulky! I've yet to use the maps for Europe as this is the 670 model however I can only expect the same steller results.Read full review
Amazingly easy and reliable to use. Accurate directions and even had to use the coordinate feature in Italy and it was good. Used it allover southern Europe from Portugal to Spain, Italy, France and Switzerland, and wouldn't dare do the same route without the gps. Amazing feature that really works is the camera controlled zone speed alerts. Worth the weight in gold. Got stolen lately and I will buy the same model just because it's already tried and tested. Only thing that needs improvement is the keyboard layout should be QWERTY.
Although a bit pricier than many others, this GPS delivered what I wanted. The display is larger than usual, which translates to excellent visibility. It has many festures that I have not yet tried ... and some I probably never will. The GPS function worked very well, with all the turns guided by a very clear voice. This is the first GPS I have ever used and its interface is very intuitive with virtually no need to go to the manual provided on the CD.
I love this product, it is such a pity that it is discontinued. This is the second unit I have bought as I wanted to have a spare. It has great maps for the USA and Europe and can be used in both car and truck mode which is a great advantage when we use the truck to haul horses. The newer ones only cater for cars with Garmin producing a separate unit for trucks at a much higher price. I cannot recommend the Nuvi 670 highly enough.
