I watch each weekend as people struggle to air down their tires to 18 psi, the mandatory pressure for driving on Sandy Neck Beach, Cape Cod Ma. I've seen people use pencils, pens ,the ends of their keys, small pebbles something to push that pin in the valve down , Then they have to stop frequently to check pressure with a tire pressure gauge to get them right. Do that on 4 tires... I screw these on,(have verified they stop at approx. 18psi), wait till they stop and then happily wave 'bye bye' to the others still airing down. Would I recommend, you bet, and have done so to many beach goers, as so many ask me 'Hey do those really work'.. Yep they do.. So if you have to air down frequently, invest in a set of these, you won't be sorry... I tried the valves yesterday for the first time.They worked flawlessly,and it took less than 5 minutes to air down.They were advertised to be set at 18#,and after using,my final results were 3 tires at 18 and 1 at 17….I don’t think you can get any closer.They are definitely overpriced with the competition, but they are excellent quality and perform perfectly.

These are well made and of consistent construction and quality materials. Considering their function, they must be made with precision, or they will not operate properly. A tire pressure gauge of known accuracy must be used to establish the set point on these devices. I found the devices to be very consistent in their operation. Both in the calibration phase, and in the usage phase. If you take care of your tools and honor the design and workmanship that went into them, then this is the tire deflator you want to acquire.These are well made and of consistent construction and quality materials. Excellent product - does exactly what it says. I walked round the vehicle screwing them on one after the other. By the time I returned to the first tyre deflated, it had finished. Very efficient means of deflating tyres. Once more round taking them off whilst checking pressures, and good to go. Easily adjusted to set the preferred psi. A pity not available in UK.

Grinning from ear to ear
Long time wheeler and airing down happens often. I enjoy installing the Staun deflators and driving away while the rest of the group spends the next ten to fifteen minutes manually airing down where I left them as I’m enjoying the trail AND airing down at the same time. They’re a little spendy but worth the smile they leave on my face.
