We are in range of the cell tower (about 5 miles) but in a low area shadowed by surrounding hills. Signal strength was one bar at best, usually having to stand by a window or go outside to get anything at all. I installed this booster with the yagi antenna mounted at roof height (on 2nd floor) and the signal strength is now at full bars. The indoor broadcast range is not huge, and drops off rather quickly as you move away from the repeater, but is effective within the building with no dropped calls.

It doesn't help at our house. It maybe a good antenna for someone but it's not helping any of our cell phone signal at all. To Me It's A Waste Of Money & Time !

Although there are not many reviews for this Booster I have to say it is GREAT! Prior to installing this booster we would average three to five dropped calls every day. I am located 15 miles from the nearest cell tower, but I do have line of site to that tower. Even so the number of dropped calls was ridiculous. Since installing this 1900mhz cell phone amplifier dropped calls are nearly non-existent. One per week at most. And as an added bonus we now have LTE data coverage on our phones at home. Wow! The fastest internet we have ever had. Installation was not difficult. Some basic DIY skills are helpful. Just as a FYI this thing will run on USB power. Our home is solar powered and the power consumption is a non-factor. Always a consideration when you are off the grid. Do check that your phone is compatible with 1900mhz. I Googled my phone and checked on its frequency prior to purchase. I can't tell you any more than it is working great for our home.Read full review

This antenna was exactly what I needed for Band2 GSM T-Mobile phones we use at 1900 MHz. I installed it on a pole about 20' above ground level pointed roughly towards our nearest transmitter, expecting to have to rotate the pole around to get the best signal. I ran the cable inside and plugged the internal antenna into the amplifier. Then I plugged power supply into the amplifier and saw the green LED come on indicating it was receiving power. I use an app on my cell phone that shows the local received signal strength in -db. High numbers are bad. Low numbers are good. Before installing this product the best I could receive was between -97 db and -104 db which is really poor reception. As soon as the new antenna and amplified was powered on I was receiving at around -64 db. Wow! By moving the internal antenna around to get the best signal while placed in a convenient location (up on the ceiling out of the way) we now receive signal at between -57 db and -60db, which is fantastic! So now we get a strong signal from the local T-Mobile tower. Now all we need is for T-Mobile to transmit with enough bandwidth to support all the people that try to use their service for data communication. A strong signal does not help when the service provider does not provide good service. Sometimes we can't get on line for hours. I suspect the provider is "throttling" users to spread the pain around (which I believe is illegal). Bottom line? This 1900MHz Cell Phone signal booster works perfectly for phones that use Band 2. Don't expect it to work as well, if at all, for phones that use other frequency bands. Don't expect it to create signal that is not there or service that is intermittent.Read full review

Antenna installed on 30’ pole pointing to nearest tower per instructions. Booster didn’t help indoor signal at all. Could have and should of invested in a better booster. I don’t recommend this unit to boost indoor signal.
