Nobody would ever think that these were only 8's in a box
I put two JL Audio 8W7 Anniversary Edition speakers (see photo) and connected a Fosgate 500X1D 500 watt amp (pictured here) with an Epicenter Special Edition. With the speakers barely moving, the sound is absolutely incredible. I can barely raise the volume without the bass being overpowering. You would never think that such small woofers would sound like 12's or 15's from other makers. You don't hear any sound outside the vehicle, but inside the sound is earth shattering. There's absolutely no reason to have 10's, 12's or 15's. Two 8W7's should be above and beyond what any person would ever need. The bass drops so deep and hard. Rock, hip hop, Latin and all kinds of music sounds phenomenal with this box! The only downside is that I have now lost my 3rd row seating in my SUV. ... This is the largest box for two 8" drivers that I've ever seen in my life. You should see the look on people's faces when I open my hatch to give them a peek. Be prepared to DROP THE BASS. DJ Magic Mike, Techmaster PEB, Ludicris, Cardi B, Bass 305, Missy Elliott, Elvis Crespo... they all DROP HARD with this box! Coming from someone who has owned 10's, 12's and 15's in the past, I can say whole-heartedly that I recommend this box. I don't even have to push the amp or speakers hard to get incredible sound from this thing.
