Nice affordable doo-hicky. I liked it as a monocular so I kept it. It was annoying to use to extend my camera zoom. Its so annoying that thinking about the list of annoyances to spell out here is making me cringe. I got caught up in the craze of turn your phone into a DSLR camera....no idea why when I already have one! Ha! But its fun to always be prepared, I could have left the monocular in the glove compartment and always be ready for ART. Ha! There is no way to get it in a perfect position, and it doesnt lay flush with the aperture because of the attachment and you need it the right distance away from the phone to float it and then when you get it where you want it, it moves a hair and it is imperfect. It makes the phone heavy and even when you meditate and get your mantra, at the end of the day, it takes a picture inside a circle. I would have thought the circle would be big enough to not create a border around an image. It looks like an ironed out fish eye picture. And the list goes on and on. To illustrate how hair splitting it is I used 1 long run-on sentence. BTW, I don't drink coffee, or smoke cigarettes (haven't for years) I rarely drink, but could have used one after experimenting with this. I'm known for my patience...Ive trained a rabbit to walk on a leash in NYC and greet German Shepherds fearlessly. I've got patience. I'm a painter/sculptor and electronic junky vs a blockhead and techno dunce. I'm not young, but not considered old (49). I have a Samsung note 8, and I've been using it since October. ITS NOT FOR CAMERAS! It was fun using it on New Years Eve, my neighborhood puts on a Southern Times Square and it was freezing in SC this year. I got to stand on my balcony and watch the bands on each end of the street with it as a monocular, and peruse the neighborhood and other balconies too! Great to go duck hunting with, and man-hunting too. I liked that it came with a tiny tripod, its own canvas protective bag, lense cover and a wrist strap.Read full review

I only bought this because it was worth a try for the money, I honestly thought I would be losing my money. I just wanted to view shots at 100yrds when at my outback range, the phone clip is pretty useless unless you're creative so I made some additional support and adjustments so it will be ok. The optics are clear and focus good but there really isn't a zooming feature, but it's still works well and the tripod makes this set a great deal at this price. Overall I would recommend it for the range or viewing no more than 200yrds effectively.

This product is so multifunctional that everyone in our home uses it. I use it at the gun range for spotting hits & lining up scopes & sight adjustment. Both my wife & myself have used it for watch & photograph birds & other wildlife. My son uses it on the golf course to spot check hole & ball placement. This product & accessories that came in the set work very well & are very sturdy. The adjustments & set up for the visual part work well & are smooth. The tripod is sturdy & very adjustable for all uses. Even the compass actually works even though it may not look like much. All & all I think enough of this product between the $ & quality I will be purchasing at least a 2nd if not a 3rd set up. I highly recommend this product ! :-)

Monocular fit to housing ring is too loose and makes it difficult to use once attached to cellphone. Object focus is lost due to such looseness. Assembly fits can be improved.
