It does the job, and is only $5, so that's why it gets 4 stars. Why it doesn't get 5 stars is that it's really flimsy, cheaply made, and for a laptop optical tray, without an eject mechanism it's really difficult to extract. I had to put a flap of tape to allow me to pull it out without hurting my laptop. I have attached a photo of the drive and the tape flap I inserted. I ended up removing the faceplate that came with the caddy, and just used the tape. I also found it's important to remove the protective plastic from the caddy before inserting it into the bay. Otherwise the fit is too tight, and it doesn't come out easily.

Feels pretty well made. I followed a Youtube video for replacing housing for my specific laptop [very useful due to awkward plastic clip fittings] and the job was done in 5 - 10 minutes. Great alternative to dual-booting through a grub menu or whatever. Also means you can have another OS as well as Cloudready [which does not support dual booting] by pressing function key at start up.
