I don't do surround sound just 2.1 in each room of the house. Very large 2.1 systems. I bought 2 of the HK receivers, one for my office to hook a pair of KEF QX1's and a woofer and the other for the bedroom to reduce the need for multiple components. These are perfect and have plenty of power. I have owned a ton of HK equipment and they always work out great. At 95$ you can't beat them.
