Item description from the sellerItem description from the seller
This 1946-D/D RPM-4 is listed in the top 20 of the top 100 RPMs. There are only 63 known in Mint State; however, only 2 known through PCGS - this is one of them. Ken Potter Lists this coin as: 1946-D/D 1c RPM#4-d D/D Northeast. Nice wide variety! A Top 100 RPM! Sharp on this clear mid-die state coin! Appears to possibly be rare as Wiles lists it as a URS-3 (3-4 coins known in all grades) and MS-URS-2 (two coins known in Mint State). MS64RD $35.00, MS65RD $65.00, ANACS-65 RD $85.00 Wexler Die Varieties List it as: 1946-D 1¢ WRPM-004 “Best Of” Variety Description: D/D North Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A die gouge under Lincoln’s chin just above the bowtie. Reverse Stage A: Die scratch under the center bar of the E of ONE. Reverse Stage B: New reverse die. Die scratch is seen to the left of the right wheat stem.
