Great deal on this a/c unit. There are days that get very warm and uncomfortably humid during the summer. I have two cats and work full time. It's great being able to keep the place cool for them when I'm not the there. And even better for me when I get home. The evenings cool down, but can remain very humid. Having the air conditioner has made summer sleeping a lot better.

I have an 8015er in the garage that works wonderfully. This one cycles a great deal more and has a much wider temp range vs the set temp. Still a good unit. If it wasnt so much work I'd swap the units.

The only reason I did four stars instead of five is because it’s bigger and heavier than I expected. It’s much bigger than a Haier 8000 BTU I have, and I struggled to get it in the window. Luckily it was on the ground floor. I would stress one thing, check dimensions before buying. Otherwise ICE cold air right away and one of the best air conditioners we have ever had. It has a remote and an energy saver option if you are out for the day and don’t want it running non stop. The humidity and temp of our air is measured by a NEST thermostat and we were amazed at how fast this got the temp and humidity down. It really works quickly and is very powerful. Just big.

This was the LG refurb. I was willing to take a chance because this was not a critical use AC, just in a room in my shop. If it doesn't work, you can send it back. It is quite enough, I like the controls, and it does have a remote. It comes packaged with everything it should have. It has air dry, (dehumidifier function). It makes 55 degree air at the discharge. For $169, was worth the chance to me.

Nominally quiet and more efficient than the 5K it replaced. The same C F are cooled in less time and the compressor shuts down when the digital thermostat reaches it's setting. This is our first with a "timer AND remote. What a great feature they be !
