Five Stars, quick shipping and the item was exactly what was shown in the listing. Warranty information was incorrect so I did not purchase the additional warranty. Item details, according to the seller, stated the product had a 10 yr manufacturer warranty when the paperwork that accompanied the product states that it has a 24 month warranty, The item works well and I am happy with the item. I recommend the retailer.

Clear sounding headphone, comfortable, excellent understated design that focuses on actual build quality

great all around headphone, but I switch back to my Focal One S when I am listening to hip hop or other music that's heavily synthesized. Like others have said, it's bass performance is "lacking", and you cannot correct it with equalizer either, crank up low frequency will end up with distortion at even low amount of boost. Other down side I saw from other reviewer is it's weight. I wear a XL or XXL helmet, so I am used to carrying weight with my neck. so if you have a fat head line me, you will be fine with it's weight. aside from listed "problems" above, I will probably end up using this set about 80% of the time when I am working by my computer, it's absolutely wonderful when listening to classical or jazz with it. This headphone shows much more detail in every music it plays, with ...

  • Bought for our acoustic society board man...kept it for myself... ordering another

This model was recommended by a friend who works on the sound crew at another acoustic society. We needed to do something about the sound mix at our venue. Our board man is located in the back corner where acoustics are horrible. His mixes were terrible as attested by recording the board one night. I bought the Shure SRH840 and tried them out at home. Oh my.... what great sound! The CDs I played sounded like I was right there among the instruments and singers. The isolation was great, keeping outside sounds to a minimum. I had our board man use them last week and found the mix to be much better. It really pointed up how bad things were back there in the corner. Nevertheless, I decided to keep this set for myself and watch for another set on eBay for the sound guys at our acoustic society. ...

  • Very "True To Life" Phones.Amazing Studio Quality Sound

Since my old Sony headphones got broken, I purchased Philips HD (open backs)phones which were pretty good for a while, until the right phone stopped working for no reason. Since then I did 1 month research, before my next (hopefully last for some reasonable period of time) purchase. I decided to go with SRH840 and JEEE, they are so far the best I could expect. They are closed backs, but there is no lack in breathing, like in many others dynamic closed backs. The sound detail is so true to life, that is hard to imagine better. They sound great on my BlackBerry phone, as well as on my SONY home theather and my proffesional bass and guitar amps. When listen on a PC with Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum sound card they may lack of bass and hights (too much midrange is exposed). But, if You ...

  • High quality, durable earphones.

These are high quality, durable earphones that gives you clear sounds at a fairly high volume. Base and treble sounds are all clear as can be but does start to distort a little when the volume levels are too high, but before you reach that limit, you get more than enough volume with crystal clear sound out of them, . . you don't really need more than that. When listening to music the individual sounds of the instruments are clear and does not influence each other. For the price you get a great set of earphones for daily and normal use. It tends to become a little heavy and sometimes feel the pressure against your head when you wear it for longer periods of time but because of its tightness it 'seals' over your ears to block outside sounds and as a result get a clear sound of what you are ...

  • Great for the money, good for any money

I bought these phones primarily for classical and pops music from my computer. They are as good as any I have heard, with little coloration or distortion and a flat response. I've listened thru them to playback from a high-end processor and older Krell equipment as well as my MacBook Pro (which of course does color the music more than the other sources). And the phones are comfortable, at least for me. For comfort, I prefer them to my in-ear phones (etymotic hf2). The latter also sound fine, altho perhaps less dynamic. But they are cover the sound spectrum smoothly and with good air at the top. I highly recommend both. wm
