First and foremost I love anything in Dolby Atmos. The sound is fantastic. I'm deaf in one ear so good sound is serious to me. On music with Pandora it's just ok. Not that much base. On Apple TV it is some better but still not where I would like it to be. Anything old is not as good but new stuff is good. The main reason I purchased this sound bar is Dolby Atmos experience and that is where it shines. I do not turn it above 21 and that is loud. Voice in movies is clear and easy to understand. That is very important to us. Overall we are very happy with our purchase! Placement is the key to good base. I found placing the sub where Samsung suggest works better for us.

The sound is quite good. The main problem I've had is there is a not well documented function which turns off the soundbar when the TV has been paused for about 5 minutes. To date, I have not been able to reliably set that function off. The other difficulty I had was when I first connected the soundbar to my TV, I used a optical cable between the soundbar and TV. I could not get the TV remote to automatically turn on both the TV and the soundbar. After spending about 45 minutes in chat mode with Samsung, it turned out that the soundbar will not respond to a TV signal (even though it is a Samsung TV) when the connection is optical. The manual is written assuming people have prior and more complete knowledge of the system.is programmed than the average person would have. Samsung has made a quality product. Sound is dependent on sources. ATMOS Can be amazing almost as good as wired systems. Regular surround, although much better then TV speakers is uninspiring. Install was easy but I also have a new Samsung TV. All in all, I like my purchase.

It was very easy to set up. The subwoofer and rear speakers paired easily and stay connected. The sound is very, very good. Although I did not have an arc hdmi on my tv, I hooked Direct TV box and Roku directly to the soundbar and connected the soundbar with hdmi to the tv. Jack Ryan on Amazon, their only dolby atmos movie to date sounded great. I am still trying to figure out if netflix dolby atmos is accessible with Roku Ultra. Netflix does not list it as a device that will allow it.

This sound bar is terrific. I recently upgraded this from a very affordable vizio sound bar. Ive been putting it through constant use and while I love the quality i did notice that it doesnt handle a Bluetooth connection around all of my devices as well as my cheap vizio sound bar. The sound bar is located above several gaming consoles and an imac. Unfortunately, u can hear the Bluetooth connection drop out any time I connect a to play music via my computer or phone. It does not happen often but when it does it is very disappointing. Especially since my cheaper vizio had no issues.
