I bought this for my carry pistol. I had been using Trijicon's standard night sights for several years, which work fine, but I was disappointed with the sight picture. The same was true of the factory night sights on another Glock. This sight is a radical departure from the standard Trijicon, with a U-shaped wide rear notch. Additionally the sight is slightly taller. The large dot is for daylight and low light, it is NOT visible in absolute dark, and is slightly visible in very low light. It is NOT a bright glowing orange dot on the front of your pistol in low light settings! The front sight does contain the usual green tritium lamp for low light/complete darkness. The wider rear notch makes taking up a solid sight picture easier, at least for me. My father tried it, and as he is pushing 70 years old pistol sights are becoming an issue to see. He was able to pick up the front sight and make hits from 10 and 15 yards with ease on a small silhouette. I've tried this sight out to 25 yards and have found it makes getting on target easier. I've also tried it at night and the usual three-dot lamp system works as it is supposed to, although that's not news to anyone. Overall I would say this is the best set of sights, for me, for Glocks. Improved sight picture means faster acquisition, and better follow up shots. The orange front outline works as an advantage in daylight/dusk but is not distracting. I highly recommend this sight to other Glock owners! I do prefer the orange outline to the yellow outline, although I have only tried the yellow once and some may prefer it.Read full review

These are the best sights to put on a Glock or any handgun for that matter. I Love the orange glow aroung the green dot in low light and the front sight really pops in the daylight. And the U shaped rear sight is so easy to use all others are starting to copy the design. Love 'em.... A little pricey but excellent quality. You get what you pay for with gun sights. Buy them, you won't regret it.

I actually bought my first set of the same exact sights for my G42. I loved the sights so much that I vowed to get the same sights if I were to get another firearm. So when I bought my G26, before I did anything else, I went online and bought another set of sights.... I can acquire the target quickly and accurately when using either eye. It is a must have for any firearm(Pistol) you plan to use....

These tritium night sights with large front sight outline from Trijicon have easily become my favorite handgun sight set. I own both the HD and HD XR set, both of which I highly recommend. I think for my style of shooting, the regular old HD set is my true favorite but, the HD XR (extended range) is no disappointment. I've always preferred Trijicon Night Sights over any other brand, and ever since my first set of HD (first set was with yellow photoluminescent outline) for a Glock project, I've ordered a pair for every handgun I own that Trijicon makes a set for (gosh darn that dang "Kimber Cut" sight set...only firearms I don't own them on due to that "Kimber Cut"). Now, if they would only make them for the Kimber or, K cut or whatever they call it, AND a pair of 1/3 cowitness Suppressor height HD's, every single handgun I do own would be wearing a set of these! ***Photo included is of the HD XR set.
