I was hoping that it being made of metal, that it would be up to the job of cutting up raw sweet potatoes, but it isn't. As I was pressing on the handle hard, it was starting to distort the metal, so I had to give up on it, so I wouldn't ruin the unit all together. For me it is kind of a waste, because I don't see me using it for anything else. It looks to be made well, it's just not strong enough for what I wanted it for.

The metal is flimsy it's small inside I took the smallest potatoe and it still didn't fit inside I had to cut about 3/4 inch off .. and in pushing down to slice the potatoes it wobbled side to side like it was bending and when I finally cut the through I noticed 1 of the blades was immediately bent . I fixed it best I could but this is no way any kind of help or value.i will be sending it back for a refund and buying a much better quality one.

It is small and bent on the first potato. I cut the potato in half and finally cut through it but it would not cut all the way through. All the edges are sharp and could easily cut better than the cutting plate. I didn't expect much from a $20 slicer but even at that price I was disappointed. Don't be cheap, spend the extra money on a better slicer.
