So far, so good. Fluorescent bulb casted a yellow beam. Which meant that the battery life is halfway used. Replacement of fragile filament bulb with LED type resulted in a brighter light and a more useful time frame until power source exhaustion.

Bulb is supposed to be 300 lumens. I tried it in a flashlight I had just installed a 150 lumens bulb. There was a big dark spot in the center of the light made by the 300 lumen, and it was not as bright as the 150. The flashlight I used is a 3 cell "D" flashlight. I'd have to say that the 300 was a failure, at least this time.
