Looks great on Blu-Ray and one of Zach Efron's best roles! He does a great job acting as a dad back in his 17yr old body. He has to interact with his friends and family, wife and children included. The character he plays Is a simple dad who is full of regrets and "what ifs" and wants a 2nd chance at life. He's been feeling that way so long that it has affected his relationships with his kids and wife. Zach takes on the role very well and the story is a good one for the whole family. Engaging comedy all through out the movie as well.

Mike O'Donnell, played by Matthew Perry (The Whole Nine Yards) hates his life and wishes he could have a do-over. Sound familiar? Well it should. There have been a lot of movies about becoming younger, or becoming older, or vice-versa (actually the name of one of them) To name a few: 13 Going on 30, FREAKY FRIDAY, PEGGY SUE GOT MARRIED, 18 Again!, Dream a Little Dream and I am sure you can name a few more if you try hard enough. I was sure this idea had run it's course and 17 Again would be just another in a long list of the same story over and over again. And it was, only with one catch, it was actually pretty good. It was entertaining in that it captured my attention and held it for a majority of the movie. It was funny at times, so much so that I actually laughed out loud at a few of the scenes. And it was heart warming to see how this person had screwed up his life and was only now realizing that he wanted it all back. There were a lot of the same things that were in all the other movies, like the initial shock, the friend who is the only one who knows, and of course the school bully. But all that aside this was a pretty good movie that I would not mind seeing again. Rated 4 of 5 only because there have been so many of these types of movies. There is some violence and some drinking and some adult scenes, but it is relatively clean overall. I suggest you see it for yourself and decide.Read full review
This is a 2-disc set not 3. If you like the movie, "The Hot Tub Time Machine." You'll like this. Just no hot tub. The everlasting desire to go back and change things or some thing in one's past is almost embedded in our DNA. This is a chance to go back and explore the what if. There have been other movies to explore this desire that many have to go back in time. But this one is done quite well. Great acting and the comedy is very funny. This is not your regular teen movie. It's a movie that will entertain many age groups. Great movie! Note: For you Sci-Fi fans you'll love the light sabre fight (Star Wars) and the cloak of invisibility scene (The Lord of the Rings).
Good movie .. Now I can view whenever I want

I love this movie so much that I had to have the Blu-ray. Zac Efron is totally amazing. He has great comedic timing and really pulls off the younger role of Matthew Perry. This is a must have.
