This little tube head has a lot of options. The multi-power switch works great for practice. Clean channel is, well clean, That's about it. This little head shines when the gain is turned up. Very nice clean crunch and vicious high gain channel. Cheap foot switch is included and does the job. Sounds ok through my Egnater Rebel 112, but much better through my Splawn 2x12 loaded with Eminence Small Blocks. Bottom line, if you want a decent high gain, low watt head that can get loud, this will do the job. Built in China, so the question is, for how long. I bought it as a second head to avoid taking my expensive Splawn head and cab to small or (yucky) gigs. I have not gigged with it yet, but will soon. Curious to try the cab/mic simulator through the PA. Much cheaper than my first choice, a Mesa 5:25 Express Plus, but sounds and looks much cheaper.Read full review

This bad boy sounds awesome, true 6505 tone. The only thing that I dislike is the Mic simulated output, it's awful, so if you are thinking of getting this amp for direct recording make sure you buy a load box to simulate a cabinet load and run the amp to an IR loader, you can always record the output from the amp's fx send but you won't be able to use the power amp section. So before you buy it you should get either a load box or just a speaker cabinet and mic it.

This amp sounds as good as my 5150 block letter head,
