This is an excellent CD. As a DJ during the 1990's, I purchased this album. The first night I played "Heartbeat, Um, Um Good and Stay the Night," for the patrons of the club where I worked, they instantly felt the soulfulness of Men At Large. Within three weeks I got numerous requests for these three cuts. I worked two sets happy hour (35 years old and up) and the late-nighters (21 to 35 years old), so I was able to test this album in different atmospheres and it was received very well. Men At Large covers a variety of soul music's genres (rap, R & B, reggae). They really belt out ballads. This is a great dance music CD (fast, medium and slow). I like all the cuts on this CD except numbers one and twelve. Cut one was unnecessary and a terrible way to begin a great album and cut twelve is downright silly and obnoxious. Overall, I highly recommend this CD. I play it often while driving and it is as fresh as it was in the 90's.Read full review
