There is much to say about this GREAT Bluetooth speaker. I will attempt to distill my review down to a single word......... FANTASTIC.!! There is a very long list of positives that I can elaborate upon, but for the sake of brevity, I wll only remark on the one single item that I would change: The rechargable battery compartment is somewhat challenging to gain access to by virtue of four tamperproof type screws. These screws can be removed with the proper type bit that can be usually found in a micro screwdriver set. With that said, upon opening I found that the internal battery pack is a shrink-wrapped six cell AA battery package with a soldered connector. In order to facilitate rapid and cost-effective exchange of the power pack in the field, so that the operating time beyond four hours can be extended, I recommend the following: A design of the battery compartment to allow individual AA Ni-Cad batteries to be snapped into an internal battery holder, would be a major design plus. The supplied proprietary shrink-wrapped battery pack, with a soldered connector, is not easy to exchange out or even obtain from most retail sources. Individual AA rechargeable batteries would be much more user-friendly. A toolless battery compartment access door would also be a plus.Read full review

This box comes with four decently sized satellite speakers (aimed at each corner) and a sizeable internal subwoofer. This thing can get LOUD... floor-shaking loud... apartment nuisance loud... I think you get it. There are basic treble and bass boosting/reducing settings right on the speaker, which is all you really need since the mid-range has been balanced out incredibly well. I found that via Bluetooth, the volume was exceptional while via Auxiliary, the volume was actually very quiet even at max volume. HOWEVER, if using aux with an amplifier, the volume is more than loud enough and the quality is phenomenal. Every part of this speaker feels built to last with one exception - the handle bar. While it does its job, you need to be ginger with it as it feels like it could break easily, and given someone was selling the same speaker in great condition except for a broken handle, I would be mindful or at least carry it from the bottom. With all that said - I love this speaker. It's extremely portable and the sound is definitely room-filling. To reiterate my advice - grab a basic amplifier if you want to use the auxiliary port, and be tender with the handle bar.Read full review

You used to make the best portable sound systems on the market and suddenly. Stopped. Why?!?! I'm speaking of your boom boxes and the sound cube in particular. My favorite one of the bunch. Then you started coming out with these small sub par boxes with mediocre sound with the trek 360 being the last great box you made. Portable and sounds awesome. Pick it up TDK and get back to making the monster units or I don't see much of a future for you. A concerned audiophile.

My husband bought the TDK a few years ago and I just love it. Sounds GREAT ! The battery got to where it wouldn't hold a charge so I ordered replacements for about 20 dollars and my hubby put them in and it's perfect again. I won a Bose Link III at an event and thought "might as well use it instead of my TDK as Bose is supposed to be so good" Nope. Gave the Bose away to my son. My TDK picks up my ipad music right where it left off the day before no matter if it's in my car or in the bedroom without me having to find the ipad and choose what song I want to listen to. Bose didn't and I didn't like the bass. No way to adjust it but there's a bass boost on the TDK if you choose to have more or less. The TDK is awesome. I pared it once and now all I have to do is push the big button and it starts right where it left off last time I used it without having to find my ipad , put in my pass word , scroll to my music and then choose a song. BAM !Read full review

Excellent speaker for the size and weight. Superb sound for the price. However, do not use the USB port to charge modern devices. This will cause a short that will ruin the power supply. Make sure the power ratings match the device you will charge with it and that the charging device doesn’t require more power than the TDK can attempt to supply. Otherwise a great sound cube that is weather resistant, so using it in the rain, on the beach or a job site is perfect.
